Obituary of Eva Gillespie

Eva R. Gillespie, 75, of Zion, died on Monday, July 12, 2010, at the Terrace Nursing Home in Waukegan. Eva was born June 2, 1935, in Zion, and graduated from Zion-Benton Township High School in 1954. She married Kenneth H. Gillespie on July 26, 1958, in Zion. Her employment past included working for Warwick Electric in Zion (for over 10 years), Cherry Electric in Waukegan (for 10 or 11 years), and then finally for Chloride Corporation in Libertyville, IL. (18 years) Eva is survived by her husband of 52 years, Kenneth H. Gillespie and nephew, John (Amanda) Gillespie of Kenosha, WI. She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Carl and Irene Hagblom; and an infant child. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, July 16, 2010, at 11:00 a.m. at Congdon Funeral Home, 3012 Sheridan Rd., Zion. Interment will follow at Northshore Garden of Memories, North Chicago. Visitation will be Friday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.
