My thoughts and prayers continue to be with the Varner family. Ruth was a very special lady who tried to be tough on the outside, but had a heart of gold on the inside. I'll never forget the day her granddaughters laughed at me when I called her Ruth and she told me that I was to call her Grandma Varner as well. She will be missed. Rest in peace Grandma Varner.

To Ruth's family and friends: I am very sorry for your loss. I knew Ruth for a couple of years while working at Zion State Bank. My mom knew the family well and now they are in Heaven together. May the Lord bring you all peace and His guidance and love at this time. Sincerely, Bernice (nee Blim) Henke

Me and my family join with so many family and friends who knew my grandmother in the feeling of loss of a special and caring person. The memories that we shared on the kitchen table will be cherished by all no matter where my grandparents lived. It puts tears in my eyes of the fond memories I have of my my family and the discussions we all had together. My grandmother's heart was humongous she didn't say the word "love" much, but she didn't have to. My grandmother had humility, no matter how good the meal, it was always too salty or too well done. My grandmother was grandma what can I say, my heart is lightened to know that she is with grandpa and that the kitchen table was moved to a place, I hope God provides for me and my Family! Love you Grandma and miss you and see you later I hope Steven Seivers and Family
