Bob and Terri Slay posted a condolence

Bob and I were saddened to hear about Don passing. It was just over 39 years ago that Don introduced my husband Bob to me. Don and Bob worked together for many years for the phone company. While Bob and Don were working on teletype lines at Great Lakes Naval Base, Don introduced Bob to me. Don and I had met while he was either fixing or installing new phone or data lines. He came to our wedding and we were always sure that Don left a mark because it was a Schroeder that introduced us and it was another Schroeder who married us. Don attended our wedding and the party afterwards. He was a terrific person and a good friend of Bob's. Bob is extremely sorry to hear about Don. We never considered Don to be "older" as he was just a kid at heart who knew how to laugh, enjoy and make everyone around him comfortable. At my wedding, my first dance was with Bob, my second with my dad and the third was with Don. May he rest in peace and may your many memories hold you strong during these difficult times. We are honored to have known Don. Bob and Terri Slay
