Obituary of Teddy Garrison

Teddy G. Garrison, 74, of Zion, IL, died on Wednesday, May 16, 2012, at St. Luke's Medical Center, Milwaukee, WI, with his family present. Teddy was born March 24, 1938, in Fayette, AL, and graduated from Fayette County High School in 1955. He served with the United States Army. Teddy retired from Silgan Container in Germantown, WI, after 32 years of employment. He enjoyed walking at the Illinois Beach State Park and attended all of his children's and grandchildren's activities. Teddy is survived by his children, Donna (Michael) Blake of Beach Park, IL, Ryan (Jamie) Garrison of Menomonee Falls, WI, Karen (Jeffrey) Ditgen of Winthrop Harbor, IL, Rick (Theresa) Vydrzal of LaCrosse, WI, and Jon Garrison; six grandchildren; sisters, Johnnie (Dennis) Kimbrell and Bonnie (Ray) Thacker, both of Berry, AL; and other family, including Mary Ann Garrison. He was preceded in death by his parents, Johnnie and Willie Garrison; sister, Judith Garrison; step-mother, Rushie Garrison; and Dursilla Bellomy and Arlene Garrison. A Visitation will be held on Sunday, May 20, 2012, from 1:00-4:00 p.m. at Congdon Funeral Home, 3012 Sheridan Rd., Zion, IL. Interment is private for the family.
