Dear Hunt Family. I am sorry to hear that Urban Past away last week. I had the great pleasure of working with both him and his(late) lovely wife Regina at Wrigley field. I am really going to miss him. I am always going to remember that His wife and him give me sole credit for bringing them into the Wrigley family. They had an interaction with me one summer day in 1998, about working at Wrigley and I told them what it involved to get hired so they too might work for the Cubs. In the following off-season they applied and both got hired. It will remain a dear story forever with me.

Dori & Matt Childs: We are sorry to hear about your father. You know he is in a better place and not suffering any more. You will be in our thought and prayers. If there is anything we can do, please let us know. As long as I have work in the funeral bussiness this is the first time I have used the on line condolence before.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you all. Knowing Urban was a blessing for us. Urban loved his family but he love the Lord with all his heart,he was never ashamed or bashful about letting you know who was first in his life. Spending time with Urban was fun, even though he was a yankee he sure appreciated southern cooking. I am sure he taught the Hunt clan to eat grits. Mack always felt Urban was the one person who truly appreciated the number of tools he owned and actually needed to hammer a nail. You see, we loved your dad too. Mack and Shirley

Dori, You are in our prayers. Don and I both have lost our parents and know that it is very difficult. Lean on God and know that your friends at Carnes Creek are thinking of you. I know you have many pleasant memories and that will be a great joy to you as you share them with your beautiful girls. God bless you. Don and India

Our deepest sympathies to the Urban Hunt family. Joe and I were saddened to learn of Urban's death this week. We have many fond memories of eating out after Sunday evening church services in Zion many years ago, and just enjoying the company of friends who were truly like family to us. Urban's joy and zest for life and his love of people and for God were constant sources of joy for those who were fortunate enough to spend some time with him and his dear family. Our thoughts, our hearts, and our prayers are with the Hunt and Musselman family during this time of sorrow. May God hold you so very close in His arms as you mourn the loss of your father, brother, brother-in-law, grandfather, and uncle.

My condolences to the Hunt family. I've always considered Urban an honorary grandpa. What a great man of God who loved his family dearly. I'm so sorry for your loss, but am rejoicing that he is enjoying heaven with his wife and other friends and family that are there. I imagine Heaven offers a good view of Cubs games as well (for those interested, that is!)!
