Obituary of Ethel Katona

Ethel R. Katona, age 88, of Zion died on May 17, 2012 at home with her husband by her side. Ethel was born December 23, 1923 in Benton Harbor, Michigan. She married Sandor "Alex" Katona in Benton Harbor in 1969. Ethel was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Zion. She and Sandor enjoyed spending time camping and being outdoors. Ethel is survived by her children Roger (Barbara) Brown, Ron (Jill) Brown, Ricky Brown, and Marcy (Richard) Stried; 5 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 19, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Our Savior's Lutheran Church, 1800 23rd Street, Zion with Pastor Jack Kelly officiating. Entombment will follow at Mt. Olivet Memorial Park, Zion. Visitation will be held on Saturday from 9:00 until 11:00 a.m. at the church.
