Obituary of Richard Hillman

Richard W. Hillman, 61, of Beach Park, IL, died on Thursday, February 25, 2010 at Vista Medical Center East in Waukegan. Richard was born November 15, 1948 in Waukegan. He was employed at Abbott Labs for over 40 years and prior to that had worked as a Chef at Midlane Country Club. He was also a firefighter Captain/ EMT for Bonnie Brook Fire Department for 8 years. Richard was a member of Abbott's Weekend Wanderers Camping Club and was a dedicated dog owner who enjoyed doting over his four puppies. Survivors include his wife of 41 years, Debby; one son Douglas Hillman; one daughter, Della Hillman; grandsons, Nathan Rich and Jason Rich; and two sisters, Barbara (Jim) Gigone and Nanci Hillman. He was preceded in death by his father, William Hillman and his mother, Lee Nora (nee Warren) Hillman. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 2, 2010, from 6:00 until 8:00 p,m. at the CONGDON FUNERAL HOME, 3012 Sheridan Road, Zion, with private cremation to follow.
