Obituary of Mary Bragg

Mary Alma Bragg, 94, of Beach Park, IL, died on Monday, February 8, 2010, at Vista Medical Center East in Waukegan. Mary was born September 14, 1915, in Corinth, MS, to John and Alice Miller. She married Willie Bragg on September 5, 1932. Mary retired from employment with Whiteside Draperies (formerly the Lace Factory) in Zion after over 30 years of service. For Mary, her family was her life. Survivors include her children, Miller (Eileen ) Bragg of Winthrop Harbor, IL, Joseph (Irene) Bragg of Beach Park, IL. John (Ann) Bragg of Tecumseh, MO, and Elizabeth Siems of Beach Park, IL, grandchildren, Theresa Reboulet, Nancy (Ken) Wilcox, Joseph (Kristy) Bragg, Sherri Bragg, Robert (Nancy) Bragg, and Shannon (David) Barber; great-grandchildren, Maria, Monica, Hillary, Sarah, Nicole and Ryan; great-great-grandchildren, Kylie and Elizabeth; sisters-in-law, Annie Miller of Cooter, MO, and Helen Shelton of Big Sandy, TN; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Willie Bragg in 1986; and four brothers and two sisters. A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, February 11, 2010, at 11:00 a.m. at Congdon Funeral Home, 3012 Sheridan Rd., Zion, with Pastor Doug Carlson of Grace Missionary Church of Zion, officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Memorial Park, Zion. Friends may greet the family on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.
