Obituary of Retha Kelly

Retha Mae Kelly, 89, of Gurnee, IL, passed away on Sunday, January 31, 2010. Retha was born September 11, 1920, in Fulton, MS. She was retired from Fould's Inc. in Libertyville where she had been employed for more than 25 years. Retha married Spencer Kelly on October 27, 1942 in MS. She was a loving person whose home was open to everyone. Retha had a nickname for everybody and she and her late husband Spencer were the heart and soul of a big family. She was expecting her first great-great-great grandchild. Survivors include children, Patsy (Javier) Miralda of Brownstown, IL, Larry Kelly of Aberdeen, MS, Linda Kelly of Uvalde, TX, John (Tricia) Struble of Brownstown, IL, and Sarah (Michael) Rogers of Zion, IL; grandchildren, Aura, Lydia, Paul, Joe, Aaron, Mike, Chris, Arnie, Ryan and Ross; many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; sister, Yvonne Lawson of MO; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Spencer Kelly in 2003; father and mother, Walter and Radar Jones; brothers, Tommy, Luther, and Earl Jones; sister, Mildred Jones; great-grandson, Charles Feltner; and great-great-granddaughter, Kourtney Rogers. A Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, February 7, 2010, at 3:00 p.m at Congdon Funeral Home, 3012 Sheridan Rd., Zion with Pastor William Oracio of Church of God of Prophecy of Waukegan, officiating. Visitation will be Sunday from 1:00 pm. until the time of service at the funeral home. A Chapel Interment Service will be held on Monday, February 8, 2010, at 10:00 a.m. at Mt Olivet Memorial Park, 1436 Kenosha Rd., Zion.
