Dear Aunt Juneve and family, so sorry to hear of the passing of Uncle Gene. I'm very glad I didn't miss the chance to see him this summer. He had a way of making it comfortable to talk to him, even though it had been years since I had. Its nice remembering him talking about the "elocution" contests he entered as a child in Zion. Praying for God's peace and grace to you all. Nathan Walbert

We will miss Uncle Gene and talking with him at family get-togethers. He really made you feel he cared. This world could use more people with his calm sweet temperament. Do you suppose he's drawing a crowd in heaven now with his chalk art?

Gene and I were boyhood neighbors and lifelong friends. He was my mentor in many creative activities, and an example and inspiration for our Christian faith. Thanks for the memories, Dear Friend. See you later.
