Obituary of Patricia Gibson Palmer

Patricia Gibson Palmer, 75, of San Benito, TX, formerly of Round Lake and Zion, IL, died on Monday, November 23, 2009 in San Benito. She was born April 18, 1934 in Monmouth, IL and came to Lake County at an early age. Her life revolved around her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Survivors include her children, Connie Smith of San Benito, Texas, Arthur (Sue) Gibson of Round Lake, Illinois and Orville (Maggie) Gibson of Harlingen, Texas; seven grandchildren, Lisa, Tracy, Samantha, Aaron, Joshua, Jeremy and Jacob; six great-grandchildren; one brother, Bill (Sonya) Abbott of Avon, Illinois; and two sisters, Peggy Abbott of Monmouth, Illinois and Connie (Don) Emery of Galesburg, Illinois. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Orville Gibson; her second husband, John Palmer; one son, David Gibson; sisters, Kate, Betty, Mary, Jean, Carroll and Dixie; brothers, Bud, Bob and Danny; and her companion/ friend, Frank Ramsey of San Benito, Texas. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 1, 2009, at 11:00 a.m. at CONGDON FUNERAL HOME, 3012 Sheridan Road, Zion, with Pastor Terry Breum of St. Mark's Lutheran Church of Lindenhurst officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Memorial Park, Zion. Visitation will be Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until time of services at the Congdon Funeral Home.
