Dear Nancy, Rich and I are in such shock because Rich saw him at the VA with you the week before. There are no words to tell you of our sorrow. Dick was a very special man and I know there will be an empty space in your heart, but you also are a very special woman and you and your family will get through this. We Swedes are strong. Hello, I had the opportunity to laugh with Dick, work with Dick, and eat Dick's cooking at my father's restaurant, the Parkway. I also have memories of him bringing in the deer he hunted and cutting it up and making a mess. Dick is in my family's prayers. He was a wonderful man and I am glad I had the opportunity to know him.
I talked to Dick almost daily for the past several years. He was always outside working in his yard as I passed by and always had something pleasant to say. He was a "good guy" and I will miss him. Our deepest sympathy to Nancy and the rest of the family.
