Dear Betty, I am thinking of you today as you lay George to rest. Please know and understand that I wanted to be there with you and pay my respects, but it is just not possible. I never really got to know George very well growing up, but enjoyed the short visits we had the past several years. I especially envied his patience and boatmaking skill, and you could easily sense his pride and satisfaction. Give my best to the boys, and God bless you today and in the days ahead. I will be sure to stop in to see you next time I get home. Carol and I send our love to you and our prayers heavenward. John

I met George through his brother Fred. Fred and I were both members of the Kenosha HOG Chapter. I only spoke with George a few times, but he did leave a warm and friendly impression. My heart goes out to the family in your time of loss. Wanda Mensching

I look over the obituaries regularly and once in a while I come across the name of an old friend. George was one of those old friends. My condolences to his family. George and I attended WTHS, graduating in June of 1948. We have not seen much of each other over the years, but my memory of that high school friendship is still there. From your old classmate, Ed May

Dear Betty and Boys. I know what a great loss this is. George was a lot of fun. I have known your family for many years. Always had fun with all. I will sure miss going to the Moose and not seeing George. God bless you all. This is from me and Mom.
