Obituary of Leroy Hallen

Leroy Walter Hallen, 68, of Beach Park, IL and Acapulco, Mexico, died on Wednesday, April 25, 2012 at Vista Medical Center East in Waukegan. Leroy was born August 19, 1943 in Waukegan, grew up, and was raised in Waukegan, graduating from Waukegan Township High School. He retired from the Waukegan Water Works after many years. After retiring, Leroy spent his time divided between Beach Park and Acapulco. He was a member of the American Legion, Alan Seeger Post #2, Mexico. Leroy loved to watch the stock market and was an avid sports fan. Survivors include his two sisters Winnie Stenman of Round Lake Beach, IL and Lynn (Eric) Dunbar of Beach Park, IL; his close friend Ken Kuebler of Lindenhurst, IL; and many friends in Mexico, Costa Rica, Columbia, and the Waukegan area. He was preceded in death by his parents Walter and Allie Hallen. Services will be private for the family. CONGDON FUNERAL HOME, 3012 Sheridan Road, Zion serving the family.
