Obituary of Dorothy Krapf

Dorothy J. Krapf, 74, of Beach Park, Illinois, died on Friday, August 21, 2009 at Vista Medical Center East in Waukegan. Dorothy was born February 18, 1935 in Lockport, Illinois and had lived in Waukegan most of her life. She loved traveling, cooking, crocheting, getting together with her family and she had become an avid White Sox fan. Survivors include her beloved husband of 59 years, Richard; her beloved children, Linda (the late George) Cavallari of Lake Villa, Illinois, Richard S. (Jan) Krapf of Waukegan and Cindy (Neal) Johnson of Gurnee; her fond grandchildren Nicholas Cavallari, Laura (Tom) O'Connor, and Erica and Brett Johnson; and her dear siblings, Eddie (Shirley) Grampo of Lake Linden, Michigan, Mike Grampo of Scottsdale, Arizona and Joe (Gloria) Grampo of Waukegan. She was preceded in death by one brother, Bill Grampo; and her parents, Edward and Florence Grampo. Visitation will be Monday, August 24, 2009, from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. at the CONGDON FUNERAL HOME, 3012 Sheridan Road, Zion, where funeral services will be held at 7:00 p.m. Private interment will be held later at Ascension Cemetery in Libertyville.
