I shall always be grateful for the relationship "Mom" Betty and I shared. She adopted me in the early 90's, while visiting Steve, who was staying at my B&B in Manitou Springs. She took me under her wing, helped me increase my faith, and prayed me through some really dark times. She was THE STRONGEST WOMAN OF FAITH I have ever known. The influence she had on my life is like non other. She was my mentor, and the truest example of a pure Christian woman! I will deeply miss her, and look forward to the day I will see her again. Thank you Steve for reaching me. Please give Papa a big hug for me, and tell him I will continue to pray for him. Please let Denise know I will be praying for her Father, also. Sandy and Steve, thank you for sharing your Mom with me all of those years. My gratitude is overwhelming. Love, Carrie O'Brien-Sibley Dallas, Texas

Our family moved next door to the Hough's when I was 3. Mrs. Hough was like a second mother to me. I remember her and my Mom getting together and having coffee and tea. Betty taught me how to make home-made bread when I was a girl. She had such a warm amd caring personality. Her smile and infectious laugh are unforgettable. My deepest sympathy to Carl, Steve, Sandy, and their families.

Dearest Carl, Steve and Sandy, my deepest sympathy to all of you. Betty was such a dear friend to me in Florida. I will always remember the first time we spoke. Carl was battling cancer, and my husband was in the end stages of esophageal cancer, and we prayed together on the phone. From that time on, we were close and enjoyed many special memories. She will be in my heart forever.

Nancy and I were at GMC when Betty, Carl and the family were there. I had Steve as a student, and he was a wonderful young man. The thing we remember most about Betty was the great joy she exuded so much of the time. She was such a quality, classy woman. We sang in the choir together, and enjoyed that very much also. Though we have not seen Betty and the family for quite awhile, we fondly remember the family, and Betty in particular. What a great personality she had!! Love to the family from Don and Nancy

Dear Carl, Sandy, Steve and family: What JOY to KNOW that Betty is now with her Lord and Savior! BUT, our prayers are with you all as you grieve her absence here from you. We have such special memories of her and her unending enthusiasm, joy, and encouraging words to us and all who came into her presence. She was truly "Jesus with skin on!" Full of love, grace, and truth. May you find strength in Him as you transition into a new chapter of life without her here, but treasuring the priceless memories she has left for you. God Bless and Keep You All, Tom and Shirley
