Obituary of Lucy Dillon

Lucy Jane Dillon, 83, of Park City, Illinois, died on Saturday, July 25, 2009 at home. Lucy was born May 24, 1926 in Chicago, Illinois. She retired after 42 years with Fansteel in North Chicago and later was employed at Norstan in Gurnee for several years. She loved her family and enjoyed watching T.V., reading, and eating out with her family and friends. Survivors include her son, Patrick (Colleen) Dillon of Waukegan; grandchildren, Sarah Dillon, Benjamin (Crystal) Dillon and Emily Dillon; great-grandchildren, Julian Cardenas & Jayna Dillon, and Andrew & Zachary Dillon, and Lydia Dillon; and three nieces and one nephew. She was preceded in death by brothers Harold (Anne) Vandermark, Earl (Juanita) Vandermark, and two infant sisters Helen and Gladys; and her parents, Charles and Hattie Vandermark. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 30, 2009 at 10:30 a.m. at the CONGDON FUNERAL HOME, 3012 Sheridan Road, Zion, with Pastor Tim Eddy officiating and private cremation to follow. Visitations will be held on Wednesday evening from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. and again on Thursday morning from 9:30 a.m. until time of services at the Congdon Funeral Home.
