Obituary of Dorothy Figgins

Dorothy Figgins, 91, a lifelong resident of Zion, died on Sunday, June 28, 2009, at Vista Medical Center East in Waukegan. She was born July 28, 1917, in Zion. Survivors include three children, Mary Rodriguez, (nee Figgins) of N.J., Clarence Figgins of South Carolina, and Johnny Figgins of Zion; three grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren; brother, David Allen of CA; sister, Katherine Holland of NV; and nieces and nephews and cousin. She was preceded in death by sisters, Margaret Goracio, Ruthie Allen; another sister, Mary; and a son, Michael Figgins. Visitation will be Thursday, July 2, 2009 from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at Congdon Funeral Home, 3012 Sheridan Road, Zion, IL.
