Obituary of Walter Johnson

Walter C. Johnson Jr., 52, of Zion, died on Thursday, June 25, 2009 at Vista Medical Center East in Waukegan. He was born October 8, 1956 in Jeffersonville, Indiana and has lived in Zion all of his life. Survivors include his wife of 32 years, Karen; children, Christine (John) Wertman of Lindenhurst, Illinois, Walter C. (Melanie) Johnson III of Kenosha, Wisconsin, Michelle (Doug) Kloet of Kenosha, Wisconsin, Melissa Johnson of Zion, Illinois and Jessica Johnson of Zion, Illinois: six grandchildren, Caleb, Brandon, Logan, Madelyn, Nicholas and Lucas; and siblings, Edith Shepard of Racine, Wisconsin, Bessie Zadler of Zion, Diane Johnson of Zion, Lawrence Johnson of Kenosha, Wisconsin, Mary Johnson of Zion and Pam Andrade of Zion. He was preceded in death by his one sister, Wanda Arnold; and by his parents, Walter and Margaret Johnson. Visitation will be Tuesday, June 30, 2009, from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the CONGDON FUNERAL HOME, 3012 Sheridan Road, Zion, and again on Wednesday, July 1st, from 10:00 until 11:00 a.m. at the Congdon Funeral Home where the procession will leave the funeral home at 11:00 a.m. for Mt. Olivet Memorial Park in Zion.
