Obituary of May Loquidis

May J. Loquidis, 82, of Zion, IL, died on Sunday, June 14, 2009, at Helia Healthcare in Zion. May was born January 28, 1927, in Kenosha, WI, to the late Henry and Lillian Leivick. She was a member and past President of the American Legion Auxiliary for over 50 years, and past President of the 10th District. May catered local weddings and events in Waukegan for over 25 years, She was a member of the 1st United Methodist Church in Waukegan. Survivors include her loving husband of 63 years, Frank; daughters, Carol (Jim) Hinch, Shirley Olson, and Dawn Ochoa; sons, Frank (Cindy) Loquidis, Pat Loquidis, and Tim Loquidis; brother, John (Audrey) Leivick of Kenosha, WI; six grandchildren; brother-in-law, Denver Maine of Denver, CO; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers and two sisters. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, June 19, 2009, at 10:30 a.m. at Congdon Funeral Home, 3012 Sheridan Rd., Zion. Interment will follow at Northshore Garden of Memories, North Chicago. Visitation will be Thursday, June 18, 2009 from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial donations are suggested to the American Cancer Society.
