Obituary of Larry Strean

Larry William Strean, 62, of Beach Park, Illinois, died on Saturday, May 16, 2009 at Vista Medical East in Waukegan. Larry was born December 14, 1946 in Waukegan and has lived in this area most of his life except for 10 years in Hartland, Wisconsin from 1975 to 1985. Larry worked for the Railroad as an Electrician with Milwaukee Road, then with Soo Line and finally with Metra. He loved hunting, fishing and the outdoors. Survivors include his children, Michael Strean of Beach Park, Eric (Caryn) Strean of Lindenhurst, Jennifer (Greg Dunn) Strean of Texas, Lindsay Strean of Beach Park and Nicole Strean of Beach Park; four grandchildren, Madeleine Strean, Matthew Strean-Dunn, Rebecca Dunn and Aurelia Strean; his mother, Marion Strean of Winthrop Harbor; and siblings, Steve Strean of Kenosha, Wisconsin and Debbie (Larry) Grimes of Winthrop Harbor. He was preceded in death by his wife, Linda, in 2007; and by his father, William G. Strean. A memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, May 23, 2009, from 2:00 until 4:00 p.m. at the CONGDON FUNERAL HOME, 3012 Sheridan Road, Zion.
