Obituary of Bette Reese

Bette J. Rees ,84, of Zion, IL, died on Tuesday, April 21, 2009, at Vista Medical Center East in Waukegan, surrounded by her loving family. Bette was born July 25, 1924, in Illinois, and married her late husband, Donald L. Rees on September 28, 1958. Survivors include her brother, Ralph (Sandy) Knox of Mobile, Al; sister, Janice Molinaro of Zion, IL: nieces, Debbie (Gary) Davidson and Cammie (Jeff) Stajduhar, both of Gurnee, IL, and Kara Knox, of Mobile, Alabama; nephews, Ron Molinaro of Beach Park, IL, Rod (Ann) Molinaro of Round Lake Beach, IL, Jimmy (Jessy) Molinaro of Gurnee, IL, Jeff (Melissa) Molinaro of Zion, IL, and Daniel and Mark Knox, both of Mobile, Alabama; sisters-in-law, Carol (Harry) Landess of TN, and Ferne Dawson of IN; and many other loving relatives, including great-nieces and great-nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald L. Rees in 1979; brother, Clarence Knox Jr.; brothers-in-law, Ronald Molinaro Sr. and John Rees; sisters-in-law, Lorena Shatto and Paula Downing; and her father and mother, Clarence and Esther Knox. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, April 25, 2009, at 10:30 a.m. at Congdon Funeral Home, 3012 Sheridan Rd., Zion, with Rev. Jeffrey Koth of St. Mark=s Lutheran Church of Waukegan, officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Memorial Park, Zion. Visitation will be Friday, April 24, from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
