Obituary of Karen Nunn

Karen Marie Nunn, 46, of Zion, Illinois, formerly of South Elgin, Illinois, died on Tuesday, March 31, 2009 at Sheridan Health Care Center in Zion. Karen was born December 16, 1962 in Elgin. She was a Teacher at Elgin Community College teaching Women's rights and was also a Counselor for C.C.A.D.A. In her spare time Karen enjoyed traveling. Survivors include her siblings, Michael Nunn of South Elgin, Illinois, Star (Chris) Southworth of Beach Park, Illinois, Tammy (Raymond) Hensley of Villa Park, Illinois, Kim Burrows of Marengo, Illinois and Howard Nunn Jr. of Marengo, Illinois; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and friends including Terry and John Rodenheiser of Beach Park, Illinois, Cecil and Margaret Johnson of Wadsworth, Illinois and Kim Cecil of South Elgin, Illinois. She was preceded in death by her parents, Howard and Diane Nunn. Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 5, 2009, from 2:00 until 5:00 p.m. at the CONGDON FUNERAL HOME, 3012 Sheridan Road, Zion, followed by a funeral service at 5:00 p.m. with Rev. Charles Emory officiating and private cremation to follow. The family wishes to thank Sheridan Health Care Center of Zion for the wonderful care Karen received for the past 3 ½ years.
