Obituary of B. Varner

B. Sue Varner, 52, of Winthrop Harbor, IL, formerly of Keokuk, IA, died on Saturday, March 21, 2009, at home, surrounded by her family. Sue was born April 17, 1956 in Keokuk, IA, and worked for years for Cub Food in Waukegan, and then recently for Wal-Mart in Antioch, IL. She was a people person and people loved her. She was also a very loving daughter and sister. Survivors include her husband of 34 years, Phil Varner; son, Phillip Lee Varner; daughter, Sheena Varner; son, Joshua Varner, all of Winthrop Harbor; grandson, Raymond James Smith of Winthrop Harbor; mother, Barbara Varner of Keokuk, IA; brothers, David (Brenda) McLaughlin of Mahomet, IL, Lloyd Eugene McLaughlin of FL, Dennis (Tammi) McLaughlin of Keokuk, IA; sister, Patricia (Bob) Traver of Zion, IL; and numerous nieces and nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her father, Lloyd McLaughlin; and brother, James McLaughlin. A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, March 25, 2009, at 10:30 a.m. at Congdon Funeral Home, 3012 Sheridan Rd., Zion, IL. Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Memorial Park, Zion. Visitation will be Tuesday, March 24, 2009, from 6:00-8:00 pm. at the funeral home.
