Obituary of Marie Rothrock

Marie E. Rothrock, 75, of Winthrop Harbor, Illinois, died on Monday, February 23, 2009 at Vista Medical Center East in Waukegan. Marie was born December 5, 1933 in Waukegan and had lived in Winthrop Harbor all of her life. She retired from the Zion-Benton School system as a bus driver. Prior to that she had worked at Abbotts. She was a lifetime member of the Women's Auxiliary of the Winthrop Harbor V.F.W. and Zion-Benton Moose Lodge #667. She was an avid bowler on many leagues in this area. Survivors include her children, Judith Ann (Craig) Phillips of Grand Rapids, Michigan, Linda Hall of Toledo, Ohio, John Hill of Killeen, Texas, Randy (Janet) Rothrock of Daytona Beach, Florida, Renee (Wayne) Hicks of Killeen, Texas and Rachelle Rothrock of Waukegan; thirteen grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a special friend, Ann Masters Bedford of Kenosha, Wisconsin. She was preceded in death by one brother, Raymond Holdridge; and her parents, Clarence and Marie (nee Holdridge) Fay. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 28, 2009, at 2:00 p.m. at the CONGDON FUNERAL HOME, 3012 Sheridan Road, Zion.
