Obituary of Mary Cheffey

Mary F. Cheffey, 92, of Rockford, IL, formerly of Zion, IL, died on Wednesday, April 4, at home. Mary was born February 26, 1920, in Milltown, IN. She had worked in this area as a manager (with her husband Jim) at the Midlane and Old Orchard Country Clubs. Mary had a deep love for all her family. Survivors include a son, Kenneth (Betty) Chumbley of Wadsworth, IL; grandchildren, Phillip (Cindy) Massar, Dawn (Daniel) Elrod, Denise (Barry) Holbrook, William (Heidi) Chumbley, Lori (Neal) Hauser, Desiree (Craig) Hunter, Jim (Michelle) Chumbley, Gene (Jennifer) Chumbley, Warren (Annie) Chumbley, K.C.(Sue) Chumbley II, and Kenneth (Brandice) Chumbley III; many, many, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews and other family. She was preceded in death by her first husband Kenneth Ray Chumbley; second huband, James Cheffey; sons, Edmund and William Chumbley; daughter, Mary Lou Holverson; granddaughter, Debra Sanchez; five sisters and six brothers. A Graveside Interment Service will be held on Saturday, April 7, 2012 at 1:00 p.m at Mt. Olivet Memorial Park, 1436 Kenosha Rd., Zion.
