Obituary of Edward Heathcote

Edward A. Heathcote, 66, of Winthrop Harbor, went home to be with his Lord on Wednesday, November 12, 2008 at Vista Medical Center East in Waukegan. Edward was born April 12, 1942 in Waukegan. He was a graduate of Lake Forest School of Management. Ed was a member of Winthrop Harbor United Methodist Church. In 2001, he retired after 40 years from Nosco Inc., Waukegan. He was also a member of Anchor & Ark #1027 A.F. & A.M., Zion-Benton Moose Lodge #667, Nosco Retirees Group and Ambassador Club NorStates Bank. Edward was the loving husband of 47 years to Sandra; beloved father of Douglas E. Heathcote of Sutton, MA and Tracy L. (Tony) Orawiec of Beach Park; cherished grandfather of Brandon, Allyssa, Ashley and Caitlyn Orawiec; and fond brother of Dorothy Wynn of Murrieta, CA, Jewel (Gary) Fanning of Gurnee and Kathleen (Larry) Hedrick of Zion. He was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Helen Heathcote. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 22, 2008, at 12:00 noon at the Winthrop Harbor United Methodist Church, 600 College Avenue, Winthrop Harbor, with Pastor Ronald Greene officiating. Visitation will be Saturday, November 22nd at Winthrop Harbor United Methodist Church from 10:00 a.m. until time of services. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to either the Church, or to Camp Zion, have been suggested.
