Obituary of Stefania Hrynewycz

Stefania Hrynewycz, 71, of Zion, died on Friday, October 31, 2008, at home, surrounded by her family. She was born July 9, 1937 in Krowinka, Poland and came to this country after being displaced by World War II. She was a member of Our Lady of Humility Church of Beach Park. Survivors include her loving husband of 51 years, Roman; children Roman (Denise) Hrynewycz of Zion, Rose Hrynewycz of Winthrop Harbor, Teresa (Bill) O'Neill of Portland, Oregon, Stanley Hrynewycz of Zion, Anna Hrynewycz of Zion and Tim Hrynewycz of Celebration, Florida; four grandchildren, Adam and Amanda Hrynewycz and Taryn and Brendan O'Neill; one sister, Mary Wojtan of Schiller Park, Illinois; and one brother-in-law, John (Katrina) Hrynewycz of Zion. She was preceded in death by her parents, Stanislaw and Anna Sorokopas; and by one brother and one sister. Services were private for the family. The CONGDON FUNERAL HOME, 3012 Sheridan Road, Zion, is serving the family.
