Obituary of Barry May

Barry Jack May Jr., 53, of Wadsworth, IL died unexpectedly on Monday, March 19, 2012. Barry was born October 19, 1958 in Waukegan and was a 1976 graduated of Zion-Benton Township High School. He was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church of Wadsworth. Barry previously owned and operated Mayjr Tire and Auto and Beach Cab Co., both of Waukegan. He was currently employed at Kaplan Paving Co. in Libertyville. He was also a member of Waukegan Masonic Lodge A.F & A.M. He was a private pilot and enjoyed his Harley-Davidson motorcycles. Most of all Barry loved his family. Survivors include his wife Joy; children Barry Jack May III of Waukegan, Ryan Louis (Danielle) May of Winthrop Harbor, Christina Marie (Alex Morelli) May of Zion, Keri Leigh May of Wadsworth, and Ashleigh Renee May of Wadsworth; three grandchildren Dylan May, Aubrey May, and Alex Morelli Jr.; his mother Edie (Ronnie) Schaefer of New Glarus, WI: siblings Edward May of Hawaii, Robin Moen of New Glarus, WI, Renee May of New Glarus, WI, and Gina May of CA; brother-in-law Curt Daeda of New Glarus, WI; mother-in-law Judy Caldwell of Waukegan, IL; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one infant son Cameron James May; one sister Tammi Daeda; his father Barry Jack May Sr.; his beloved grandmother Grace; and one nephew Jake Daeda. Visitation will be on Thursday, March 22, 2012, from 9:00 until 11:30 a.m. at the CONGDON FUNERAL HOME, 3012 Sheridan Road, Zion, IL, where a funeral service will follow at 11:30 a.m. Interment will follow at Ascension Cemetery, Libertyville, IL.
