Obituary of Donald Maksimovic

Maksimovic, Donald "Doc" 66, of Waukegan, IL, died on December 17, 2014, at Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge, IL after a tragic accident. He was born May 10, 1948, in Austria. Doc's employment history began in electrical sales with Chester Electronics in Waukegan; then ownership of Doc Mac Your T.V. M.D.; then for Drake Electronics in Waukegan; Steiner Electric in Gurnee, and finally at Paragon Restaurant in Waukegan as a deliverer. As a young man he gained Eagle Scout status. Doc loved to bowl and golf. Survivors include his sons, Michael Maksimovic and Joseph Maksimovic, both of Zion, IL; ex-wife, Linda Bloom of Zion, IL; grandchildren, Bridjett Relken and Morgan Maksimovic; brothers, George Maksimovic of Waukegan, IL, and Ratomir (Lily) Maksimovic of Fayetteville, NC; niece, Krystle Tew Maksimovic; nephew, Matthew Kevin Maksimovic; great-nephew, Elijah Tew, and siblings, Denver Glover and Jerry Glover. He was preceded in death by his parents, Aleksander and Marta Maksimovic; and close companion, Carol Glover. Celebration of Life will take place on Sunday, January 4th from 4:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. at the Paragon Restaurant, 2101 Grand Ave., Waukegan, IL. Memorial donations are suggested to the family.
