This was a great Man of God. I live in Alabama so I never did get to go to any of his services but I listened to many of his tapes that he sent out and I learned much from him. I hope before I die I meet more people like him. He's with Jesus now and I'm sure he was well rewarded and welcomed greatly in the kingdom of heaven. God bless you Robert and thank you for your service to God in helping other's.

I met Bob as he taught a group who wanted to learn about Holy Spirit and the beautiful nuances of flowing in the gifts of Holy Spirit in a group setting. I was struck by how personal his leadership was, how gentle and respectful he was with those he was teaching and the level of trust that we all grew in - it was amazing and very special! His influence has made a profound impact in my life. Bob also took time to meet individually with people - it was clear to me that his only motivation was to share truth and he did it so humbly and graciously, but with the conviction that he was offering God's wisdom that would offer the best way to live and spare me unnecessary pain. Even when I wasn't sure I agreed with him 100%, I felt cared for and grateful for his commitment to truth and to taking the time to explain it to me...
What a wonderful man of God! And what a beautiful family you all are. May the God of all comfort remind you of His goodness and mercy all the days of your life.
Take good care...

Bob, you were my mentor, friend, spiritual leader and part-time Dad. What a man of God! I was always amazed at your deep knowledge of the Word, we always had a great time talking about God. Bob, you are the best example of how a husband loves his wife Jean, his children, Tim and Linette and how great of a Papa you are. You have such a legacy that you shared with your family and I will miss you. Family get-togethers will never be the same. I love you Bob.

Bob,
You were one of the kindest men I ever knew and loved. You and Jean left a "loveprint" on my heart when I was 18yrs.old. I remember how you would laugh at my Louisiana accent and how naive I was. You were a worshipper and would often ask me if I had written that song and most of the time you were right. You'd smile and say "I knew you had.... because it made me happy". You shared your family, your home, your faith, your prayers with me and I will never forget you. I know that you are with your Eternal Hero but you were definitely one of my earthly heroes.
Family,
Thank you for sharing Bob with everyone. I love you all and will pray for you.

Bob will always be dear to my heart. He was instrumental in my growth and knowledge oh the Word and of the wonders of the Holy Spirit. He was always available when I needed to talk, he treated me like a daughter. You have many crowns to lay before the Lord dear Bob and until we meet again in glory hallelujah!

We met Bob Johnson and his wife, Jean, on our honeymoon as we were searching for a place to live near the Great Lakes Naval Base. That place ended up being a "cottage" on a wooded lot owned by the Johnsons. The story has many more amazing details, but in the end, we realized God had led us to this particular couple who through their loving, powerful witness made a profound spiritual difference in our lives.
Bob taught an interdenominational Bible study that consisted of Catholics, Episcopalians, Lutherans and one Baptist couple - Don and me. We have never met anyone who knew the Word and could teach in such an engaging way as this simple layman. We have loved him deeply. Our last visit was on his 80th birthday - we were among his surprise guests.
How wonderful to leave this earth still teaching and sharing the Good News through the ministry he founded "Christian Training Center."

My thoughts and prayers are with all of you during this difficult time. I know we can take peace in the fact that Bob has reached his ultimate goal in life. Yet in his departure the tears can be of assurance that one day we also can be together again. I will always remember that in my time of loss, Bob was there to help me through the tough time. Bob was a great man of God!
