Obituary of Joyce Ames

Joyce Collette Ames, 64, of Park City, IL went to be with her Lord Thursday, December 18, 2014, at West Moreland Rehabilitation Center in Lake Forest, IL. Joyce was born May 18, 1950 in Waukegan, IL and grew up in Wadsworth, IL. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Joyce loved to cook on special occasions and holidays, and to share those special times with her family. Survivors include her daughter, Collette Haberski (Ronald) Miller; siblings, Larry Ames, Sandra (Bob) Steffenhagen, Gloria Miholic, Glen (Linda) Ames, Roderick Ames, Kenneth Ames, Billy Ames, and Robert Steven (Kathie) Ames; many wonderful nieces, nephews, and extended family; and her special fur babies, Sebastion, Princess, Holly and Kendra. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mortimer and Ethel Ames; infant son, Phillip James Haberski; sister, Linda Magnuson, nephew, Brian Steftenhagen; and sister-in-law, Sandra Ames. Visitation will be Monday, December 22, 2014 from 6:00 until 9:00 p.m. at Congdon Funeral Home, 3012 Sheridan Rd., Zion, IL. A funeral Service will be held Tuesday, December 23 at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Millburn Cemetery, Millburn, IL.
