Obituary of Brenda Garza

Brenda Garza, 46, of Waukegan, IL passed away at her home on November 13, 2014. Brenda was born January 13, 1968 in Ishpeming, MI. She grew up in Zion, IL and graduated from Zion-Benton Township High School in 1989. Brenda married Manuel Garza on March 16, 1991. She was a waitress at the Original Omega in Mundelein, IL. Brenda enjoyed shopping and getting her nails done. Family was most important, and her greatest joy in life were her children and grandchildren. Brenda is survived by her husband, Manuel Sr.; children, Lucina (Adrian) Moreno, of Zion, Kasandra (fiancé Jesus Espinosa) Garza, of Beach Park, Manuel (fiancé Taylor Jokerst) Garza Jr., and Fernando (Lucia Velazquez) Garza of Waukegan; grandchildren, Esmeralda Moreno, and Aaliyah Espinosa; one brother, Gary (Brittney) Steede Jr., of Colorado; 2 sisters, Gracie Hinojosa of Mundelein, IL, and Elizabeth (Cesar) Guerrero of Waukegan, IL; and many nieces and nephews that she loved a lot. She was preceded in death by her parents, Gary Steede Sr. and Mary Martha Talley; and her grandparents. Catholic Mass will be held on Thursday, November 20, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Humility Church, 10655 Wadsworth Rd., Beach Park, IL 60099. A visitation will take place from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service at the church. Interment will be private for the family.
