Obituary of Dorothy Pearce

Dorothy Ann Pearce, 86, of Winthrop Harbor, IL died on Friday, November 14, 2014 at Midwestern Regional Medical Center in Zion. She was born in New Albany, MS, moved to Illinois in 1956, and has lived in Winthrop Harbor since 1960. She was a long-time member and active at Northpoint Christian Church. Dorothy was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother and will be missed. She also enjoyed her flower garden. Survivors include her daughters Linda (Robert) Pushee of Zion, IL, Pattie (Raymond) Leathers- Routt of LaCrescent, MN, and Amy (Erwin) Rendall of Woodbury, MN; nine grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; sister-in-law Mary E. Chambliss of Jackson, TN; brother-in-law Dan (Jody) Pearce of Jackson, TN; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years Jefferson "Frank" Pearce Jr. in 2006; her father and mother Robert and Pauline Chambliss; one brother Robert Chambliss; one sister Louise Williams; and son-in-law Bob Leathers. The family would like to thank the staff of Midwestern Regional Medical Center of Zion for their care and compassion A funeral service will be held on Friday, November 21, 2014, at 11:00 a.m. at the CONGDON FUNERAL HOME, 3012 Sheridan Road, Zion, with Pastor Tim Bycroft officiating. Visitation will be Friday morning at the funeral home from 9:00 a.m. until time of services. Interment will follow at Pineview Memorial Park, Beach Park. Memorial donations to Northpoint Christian Church, or Ronald McDonald House Charities, or a charity of your choice has been suggested.
