Obituary of Betty Ketcham

Betty L. Ketcham, 86, of Beach Park, IL died October 25, 2014 in Kenosha, WI. Betty was born May 3, 1928 in Milwaukee, WI but resided in Zion, IL for most of her life. She worked in the office at Ammco Tools in North Chicago for many years. In her free time, Betty loved being around her family, and the grand-kids, and loved to go out to eat with family. She was a devoted grandmother and great grandmother. Betty loved tv shows such as Judge Judy, Dog the Bounty Hunter, and watching her favorite NASCAR driver, Mark Martin. Her favorite movie was My Cousin Vinny and her favorite singer was George Jones. She is survived by her children, Roger Sparkman of Beach Park, IL, Terri (Joe) Wates of Beach Park, IL, Donna (Jeff) Manlick of Beach Park, IL, and Donald (Pam) Ketcham of Lake Villa, IL; 10 grandchildren, Steven, Julie, Rich, Cindy, Tammy, Eddie, Tracy, Ken, Timothy, and Kimberly; 23 great-grandchildren; a brother, Tom (Kathy) Rogers; good friends, Bertha Swanson, Rhonda and Paul Lansing, Bob and Brenda Yeager, and Patrick and Sara Gail; and a favorite dog, Kylie. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Ketcham Sr.; son, James Sparkman, her parents; and a dear friend, Patricia Ianson. The family would like to give special thanks to Jackie, Nancy and Jen from Hospice Alliance in Kenosha, WI, and Tara, Ashlie, Armenlinda, Rebecca, and Amber from Sheridan Medical Complex in Kenosha, WI. A memorial service will be held Thursday, November 6, 2014 at 5:30 p.m. at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 2720 N. McAree Rd., Waukegan, IL 60087. Friends may greet the family from 4:30 p.m. until the time of service at the church.
