Obituary of Christine Musick

Christine "Chris" Musick (nee Celaric), 92, of Zion, Illinois passed away at Rolling Hills Manor on October 13, 2014. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Musick; her parents, Karl and Agnes (nee Sustersick) Celaric; her brother, Carl (Marjorie) Celaric; and a dear friend, Jeanne (Charles) Celaric. She is survived by her nephews, Charles (Jeanne) Celaric and Michael (Karyn) Celaric; her niece, Karen Celaric; three great nieces, Emily (James) Kowal, Amanda Celaric and Emma Celaric. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Marjorie Celaric. Christine was born in North Chicago to Slovenian immigrants. She and her brother learned how to speak English in school. She was married for many years to the love of her life, Frank, whom she has now been reunited with. On August 12, 1943, Christine started active duty with the WAVES division of the Untied States Navy. She served as a Pharmacist's Mate Third Class until December 14, 1945 when she received an honorable discharge. After her service in WWII, she began a career as a purchasing agent for the United States Navy. Christine was buried with full military honors. She was loved by all who knew her and will be greatly missed. A short, private graveside service was held at Ascension Cemetery on October 18, 2014.
