Obituary of Kevin Rodriguez

Kevin M. Rodriguez, 60, of Zion, IL died Friday, July 18, 2014 after a long and courageous battle with cancer. He was born March 4, 1954 in Sunbury PA and was a proud graduate of Penn State. Kevin worked as a plant safety manager for National Gypsum in Waukegan, IL. His family was everything to him. He embraced everyone he met and was loved by them in return. Kevin is survived by his wife, Jeanette; 6 children, Kalen, Garen (Mary Jo), Britt (Shannon Poulk), Carly, Kathy, and Ryan Nieves; 4 grandchildren, Joseph, Keira, Evan, and Logan; father, Dr. Edsel Rodriguez; mother, Marian Rodriguez; siblings, Mark, Kathleen, Mary Beth, Denise, Brian, Paula Barrett, Anthony; many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews. Visitation will be held Tuesday, July 22, 2014 from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. at CONGDON FUNERAL HOME, 3012 Sheridan Rd., Zion, IL, and again on Wednesday, July 23, 2014 from 9:00 until 10:00 a.m. at St. Dismas Church, 2600 Sunset Ave., Waukegan, IL. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:00 a.m. at the church. Interment will follow at Pineview Memorial Park, Beach Park, IL.
