Obituary of Evelyn Lloyd

Evelyn B. Lloyd, 85, of Zion, IL, went to be with the Lord Jesus Christ on Saturday, March 3, 2012, at Vista Medical Center East in Waukegan. Evelyn was born April 25, 1926, in Crivitz, WI, and married James Lloyd on March 30, 1944, in Itawamba County, MS. She used to waitress at the old Highway Lunch and Home Café restaurants in Zion, and also for the Illinois Beach State Resort. Evelyn enjoyed activities with the Zion Seniors . She always put her children and grandchildren first. Survivors include her husband of 67 years, Jim Lloyd; daughter, Bonnie (Murrell) Rogers of Belmont, MS; sons, James(Carmen) Lloyd Jr., of Marinette, WI, Gary (Gail) Lloyd of Zion, IL, David (Marty) Lloyd of Zion, IL, and Nick (Mary Lou) Lloyd of Zion, IL; daughters, Robin Harnden of Whatley, AL, and Rhonda Roberts of Marinette, WI; 19 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; brothers, Robert (Nancy) Christenson of Stevens Point, WI, and Leslie (Arlene) Christenson of New River, AZ; and many nieces and nephews and other family. She was preceded in death by sisters, Dora Paul and Elsie Shook; and brother, Alvin Christenson. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, March 10, 2012, at 4:00 p.m. at Congdon Funeral Home, 3012 Sheridan Rd., Zion. Friends may greet the family on Saturday from 2:00 p.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.
