Ma,
With this message I would like to commemorate forever what a hero you always were and still are to me. I know sometimes you would wonder what the internet was and how it was not for you. It was something you didn't understand and it was outside your time. A phone call or a card in the mail was your way. But I'm going to use this tool to leave a permanent message about you that everyone can read, forever and always.
You were to me the most beautiful, intelligent, witty, humorous, caring, thoughtful, and wisest person I ever met and you were also my mother. A middle child you had a tough job but you performed it with excellence. Always standing up for one sibling without sacrificing the others.
We would all be smart to learn this skill in life.
As a mother and really both parents to me, you were always fair and understanding. When i or anyone made a mistake you were always supportive and forgiving.
Something else we should all learn.
Many might think having nine children was too much. But you knew better. While others spend their life trying to accumulate wealth you knew in the end family was the real profit. You knew that all along. You were almost never alone and never lonely. Most can not say this.
I learned so much from you and as i grow older i hope to continue to learn from your example. I can only hope to be like you, even if just a little bit. If I am then I am successful.
I know how much you loved movies from the 1940's and you taught me to do the same. Movies that were really about something. Movies that told stories and taught lessons. I learned from "It's a wonderful life" that a persons life is not about what they do for themselves but rather was they do for others. And you certainly did a great deal for me. I thank you.
I love you Ma. Rest in Peace.

I light a candle for my beloved mother, Virginia. Mom, I have always loved you with all my heart and will miss you more than words can say. You were always there for me in good times and bad. You had such a kind and caring nature and you were always watching out for all your children. You always put us first. You were so special and I think all of those that knew you realized that. I will miss our daily talks and your sense of humor. Today my heart is broken to think of my life without you in it but I have wonderful memories that I will hold dear. I won't say goodbye but instead rest peacefully until we are together again. I LOVE YOU.

VIRGINIA, MAY YOU REST IN PEACE. I WAS FORTUNATE TO HAVE TWO MOTHERS NAMED VIRGINIA. YOU WERE ALWAYS VERY SPECIAL TO ME. YOUR KINDNESS, LOVE AND GENTLE SWEET DEMEANOR, AND FONDNESS OF ME THESE PAST THIRTY-SIX YEARS, WILL REMAIN WITH ME THE REST OF MY LIFE. I COULD NOT IMAGINE A BETTER NOR NICER HUMAN BEING. YOUR SPECIAL LOVE HAS KEPT YOUR FAMILY TOGETHER EVEN THROUGH TRAGIC TIMES. REST IN PEACE VIRGINIA, AND ONE DAY WE WILL SEE EACH OTHER AGAIN.
