Hal was my first cousin. I looked up to him when I was younger, as he was big, strong, physically fit, and a good swimmer when we went to the YMCA with cousin Jon, his brother, in Evanston. He was a good man, caring, intelligent, warm-hearted, and I shall miss him, and his frequent letters. Rest in peace, Hal. Our thoughts & prayers are with you.
