Obituary of Kenneth Fuhrman

Kenneth W. "Ken" Fuhrman, 81, of Winthrop Harbor, IL, died on Sunday, May 18, 2014, at Hospice Alliance, Pleasant Prairie, WI. Ken was born June 8, 1932, in Fort Wayne. He worked as a pilot for United Technology Corporation and Essex Wire Corporation, both in Ft. Wayne, IN, and retired as Director of Aviation for Baxter Health Care Corporation in Waukegan. Ken was a veteran of the United States Army. He loved antique cars, was a great handyman and was respected, admired, and loved by all who knew him. Ken was the "Ultimate Gentleman". Survivors include his wife, Bernadine "Bernie"; children, David Fuhrman of Roachville, IN, Sandra (Michael) Shavlik of Fort Wayne, IN, Daniel (Shawna) Fuhrman of Virginia Beach, VA, Michael (Joycelyn) Ferguson of Chicago, IL, Mary Ferguson of Winthrop Harbor, IL, David (Diva) Ferguson of Winthrop Harbor, IL, , and Stephen Ferguson of San Pedro, CA; thirteen grandchildren; brother, Robert Fuhrman of Garden Grove, CA; and other family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edwin and Edna Fuhrman; and sister, Vera Minick. Funeral Services are private for the family. Ken's final resting place will be Lindenwood Cemetery, Ft. Wayne, IN.
