Georgia & Scooter - I just wanted to express my sympathies to you over Bernie's death. I know how bad you both feel, but in the long term, you will come to realize it was for the best. His suffering was short as compared to some. Georgia, you have wonderful memories over 40 years span that will keep you going, I know. I've known "Corky" since he was I believe a freshman in high school. We used to bring him with us, if I had to watch my brother who was 3 years younger than him. It took me quite a while to get over calling him "Corky" and get used to calling him Bernie. Ray loved Bernie very much and I'm sure he's having a wonderful time up "there" with everyone who went before him. The church service was wonderful. Bernie was loved by a lot of people, young and old. He received so much praise today, I was just amazed and the luncheon was fabulous. The people of that church are so generous and great cooks! If ever you want to talk, feel free to call. I'm a great listener. And if you ever want to visit, tell Scooter and he and his family will bring you. Just give me a jingle to make sure I'll be home.
